Title: Bob Corn-Revere Visit Speech Communication alumnus Bob Corn-Revere (1977) was honored as an outstanding EIU alumni during EIU’s 2009 homecoming weekend. Corn-Revere a First Amendment and communications lawyer in Washington D.C. spoke to a group of 125 communication studies students and faculty on October 18th. Corn-Revere is best known for his successful petition to Governor George E. Pataki to grant the first posthumous pardon in New York history to the late comedian Lenny Bruce 37 years after his obscenity conviction in 1964. Corn-Revere also highlighted his work before the Supreme Court on behalf of CBS regarding the indecency finding stemming from the 2004 half-time show featuring Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
